Johann Olav Koss, one of the greatest winter athletes, four-time Olympic Gold Medallist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador is now the CEO of the international humanitarian organisation Right To Play which uses sport and play as a tool for the development of disadvantaged children around the world.

Claire Kenny Tipton
Director of Marketing and Director of Media and Communications of the Asian Football Confederation which brings together 46  countries and territories and more than 85 million amateur and professional footballers. Its Vision Asia program has 15 current projects focused on establishing sustainable, grassroots clubs and leagues in developing countries.

Geoffrey Gold
is Director and CEO Sports Dynamics which represents sports brands and products in Asia and includes the research and consulting firm Football Dynamics Asia and the Asian Football Business Review.

Said Fauzan Baabud, UNDP Livelihoods Program Officer in Indonesia’s tsunami-disaster struck province of Aceh discusses how sports and youth empowerment is a crucial element in post-disaster rehabilitation work.

 

16.00 – 14.45  Case Study: Football and the Persipura HIV/AIDS Ambassadors’ in Papua
Anton Inbenai, Dept of Sport and Youth, Jayapura City, and Henk Rumbewas, international  representative for  KONI Indonesian National Sports Committee (Papua) discuss the Persipura Football Club’s role in HIV/AIDS and safe-sex awareness  campaigns.
